I arrived in Maastricht. At last!!! I biked 133 km today. This morning I thought this will be my day. 5 big steep hills to mount. In the afternoon I thought: when will it come to an end??? After every mountain I expected the last descend to Maastricht. The map was not very clear and my altitude gauge did not correspond very well with what I saw. So this was very likely getting to be a frustration. At last: THE DESCEND (30 km) to the flat country. Maastricht has no camping site of its own, so I had to climb again to the plateau of Margraten. My last climb!!! I dreamt of on my arrival to Holland eating a good meal in the centre of Maastricht, but this was too far away, so I took a (good) meal in the camping restaurant, with a good discussion with my neighbours. Enthousiastic bikers from The Hague. This was my heaviest day!!
