Home again

Yesterday I arrived home again after 32 days. I felt very well being back, just as I felt very well travelling.
It was a beautiful trip. I have seen a lot of new places and also went through well known places. I also learnt a few things about myself, having had enough time to think. That is one of the big advantages of biking. You see everything in more detail and on a level that fits very well to the human nature. And the continuous movement is very well for your brains.

Some statistics

Here some statistics about my Tour de France:

Total distance: 3401 km

Total time laying on my recumbent: 188 hours

Total travelling time: 273 hours

Mean distance per day: 106 km

Mean speed/riding 18 km/hr

Mean speed/travelling: 12,4 km/hr

Max speed: 64,9 km/hr

Highest point: 1212 m

Perfect biking weather: not too much sun, not too much rain.

I am very satisfied with this trip and also with the decision I have made not to go on to Spain but to make a Tour the France.
