Chartres

Today thursday. Yesterday I arrived in Chartres. A good place to take a day off. To my opinion sometimes I need also a quiet day, to relax my muscles and to visit some places and to do something else as biking. Else you run the risk of loosing your appetite in biking. Until now I have ridden 909 km, with a daily mean distance of 130 km. The wheather was good in general, only at night sometimes heavy thunderstorms. The road was excellent with a very good description, quiet roads. Chartres is a very nice town with a bequtiful cathedral. The windows especially are beautiful.
You can relax and take a drink at every streetcorner.

My neighbours at the campingsite are dutch, also from Alkmaar and also very experienced bicyclists, so a lot to talk.
