Today my trip goes through the valley of the Dordonge, from Bergerac to Souillac, 112 km. For me a rather well known region because 14 years ago I was here with my son Wouter on holidays. I recognise the beautiful and touristic places well. I try to take as much as possible small roads unless it costs me too much climbing. The panoramic views are beautiful.
At the end of the morning, while starting a new climb my chain broke. This never has happened to me in 20000 km (with this recumbent). Then you see actually how long this thing is: 3 m.
In my daily ritual something has changed. Drinking my beer costs 3 times as much time because I have to prepare my next days trip very carefully. The Michelin atlas is perfect for this. Every detail is on the maps. The only problem I have is to find the most efficient ways from A to B (not too crowded and not too many steep cimings).
